The study explores to understand the awareness level of health among the citizens of Kalaburagi city, Karnataka, India. The structured interview schedule was used to collect the data from a sample of five hundred fifty-one citizens (N=551) employing proportionate stratified random sampling. The study aims to know the relationship between awareness of health and demographic characteristics. Chi-square test revealed that there is no significant relationship between awareness and vis-à-vis independent variables like age, gender, caste, marital status, occupation, income, family size, What is health Information and Circumstance of visiting doctor. The awareness of health among citizens has a significant relationship with education, socioeconomic status, rating of health (Self) and Seeking health information for whom. Citizens have high awareness about health but theres is no evidence about what information sources they use to get health information. Further, Studies are required to know the actual health information sources used to get better health information by citizens.
