BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE INDIAN RESEARCHER’S CONTRIBUTION TO LIBRARY PHILOSOPHY AND PRACTICE (E-JOURNAL) DURING 2011 TO 2020

The present study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the contribution made by Indian authors in the Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP) from 2011 to 2020. Further to study all the parameters of bibliometric study. Material and Methods: This bibliometric analysis used Scopus database for retrieving data on all papers published by Indian authors in LPP during the study time span.R Studio with Biblioshiny app and Microsoft Excel software packages were used for data analysis. Findings:1188 papers authored by Indians in LPP from 2011 to 2020. An increasing trend can be seen in annual publication number, in the year 2011 number of articles published are 44 which increased to 55 in the year 2013. Year 2016 having the least publication while year 2019 published articles are 467.Thanuskodi S. Kumar S. Balasubramani R are some authors having highest number of publications. Author’s keyword frequency is also presented. Algappa university has produce highest number of article (78), followed by Periyar University (55) University of Kashmir (51). Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and China are the some countries were found in collaborative work. Journal of documentation: A bibliometric study by Roy S.B., Basak M. published in the year 2013 has highest of 30 citation. It is interesting to note that, some of the articles published in recent years have scored good citations. The authors namely Subramanyam, Kumar, Gupta, Singh, Thanuskodi and Khan are having the strong citation network.
